The six values
The published tiers are Layup 10, Too Cute 15, Rotation 30, Deep Bench 60, Two-Way 85 and Buzzer Beater 100. The names describe game scoring tiers, not a player’s real basketball ability.
A rarer answer can travel further
The game rewards less obvious accepted answers with larger preset scores. It does not raise or lower your points as other people answer. One or two answers in a prompt can be assigned the 100-point Buzzer Beater tier.
Range is the sum of your seven scores
Add all seven round scores. Every point equals one foot, so seven 100-point answers would total 700 points and 700 feet. For example, 10 + 15 + 30 + 60 + 85 + 100 + 0 = 300 points.
Total range bands
The final range label uses the sum of all seven rounds. These are the original game’s minimum-score thresholds.
| Total | Tier |
|---|---|
| 0+ Points | In the paint |
| 150+ Points | Mid-range |
| 250+ Points | Downtown |
| 350+ Points | Logo range |
| 450+ Points | Full-court heave |
A historical score has a date
Our database preserves the fixed score from the archived prompt shown on each page. The same name in another prompt or another daily set need not have the same value. Archive scores are reference material, not a live estimate.
Use the planner to set a target
The score planner adds seven entered values, shows a one-decimal average, and subtracts the total from your target, with a minimum remaining value of zero. Arbitrary whole numbers are allowed for planning; that does not create additional official answer tiers.
